Avatars are in Vogue on Online Bingo, Xbox Live and Wii

Many video games services such as Xbox Live, Wii and online gaming platforms such as online bingo are using avatars to their advantage. Avatars, for people who don’t know, are people in which the user creates to go around the virtual world. The avatar will appear as a manifestation of that user and the user could use the avatar to talk to other people on the network or explore the virtual arena.

One of the most liked features of the avatar is the ability to change how it looks. Some members use this to accurately portray how they look, keeping the avatar a mirror reflection of who they are.

Yet some people use the avatars as a method of getting away for an adventure. They don’t feel that they have to be in the confines of their image and they create an avatar based on how they want to be or how they secretly view themselves. The avatar can then be a fantasy where the person who uses them could fully utilize the virtual space.

While many video gaming platforms have used avatars successfully, online gaming such as internet bingo and casino games have recently been employing avatars to help create a world for the user to explore. The player can walk to an area of the virtual environment where they may play bingo games, slots or simply interact with other people via their avatar.

Using avatars increase the ability for users to completely immerse within the virtual world. Whether it is for internet gaming or video games the use of avatars help take the player into the world in which they could fully express their personality in the manifestation of an avatar. This not only allows the player to fully immerse themselves but also show part of their personality to all other players.
