Found The Winner – Microsoft Finance Software Review
I think automating this process is crucial. I hope to see more features come to this product, because they have a good start. I was able to build up my buffer and start really using the program after about 6 months (that may seem like a long time but it is worth it). The purpose of this is to make sure all your money is accounted for, and so that you can see where it is going.
I have tried budgeting on my own and with different types of methods and systems. They worked for a while until I grew tired of physically having to write down every transaction and then having to transfer each one to their own allocated category, it wasn’t too bad but way too much writing, but this is by far the easiest and most simple system to use. I usually write everything down with pen and paper. I bought this because of other reviews and will say I am glad I did.
It’s much more flexible and user-friendly! I can sort and run reports so much easier. You really do need a budget. I’ve been using YNAB Pro for a few months now. A common thread through many of these reviews seems to be along the lines of: “I’ve tried Microsoft Money and Quicken, and they were good at tracking, but not at really budgeting. Then I tried YNAB, and I’ve never been happier”.
Within the budget section, you can get to some level of detail, but just in a small pop-up window. If you want to look at all your entertainment expenses to try to analyze what you might cut down on, there’s no good way to examine those details, or to look for categorized transactions if you have a large volume of data.
I have learned to save for upcoming bills, vet care, insurance, car repairs, and all of life’s other little surprises. I am no longer living paycheck to paycheck. I needed to get away from Quicken as it just was not meeting my budgeting needs according to Dave Ramsey’s FPU budgeting standards. I found this software and downloaded it directly from the YNAB website.
It cannot prevent your husband from haphazardly using his Visa card, but it can show your husband the negative effect using his card has on your vacation fund. YNAB will not pay your bills for you, but it will give you the proper tools to aid in your quest to stop living paycheck to paycheck. It does force you to get personal with your money, to really see where and how you are spending and how that affects your money overall. It doesn’t paint rosy pictures of wealth in the future, it doesn’t allow you to get by without having to actually sit down and SEE everything you’ve purchased, it doesn’t give you pies and charts and graphs to help you understand your spending. The stress level has been greatly reduced. This is the best software I ever purchased; it paid for itself in two weeks! The most recent version of the software, which I received as a free download after having purchased the software about ten months ago, has added a ton of great features that help make the software easier to use. Why didn’t I give the product 5 stars? The only con, so far, is that the print capability of this software sucks! The register comes out very distorted on one of my HP printers, which works with everything else.
It’s a great budgeting program. patio landscaping.
