The US Political Atmosphere: Made in America

Politics have been more sharply divided today than they have been in the past. It seems hard to bridge the gap between what our country needs and what the politicians are willing to do. Many of them have self interests that conflict with the interest of the country at large. It seems foolish to rely on them to fix the problems we know we must face.

If we act as a people we can boost and nurture our economy. It will take some spending to get this going. You can’t spend what you don’t have but we must do what we can. Choosing to spend on America is the way to help. When we make a choice with our money and pick the American made goods we make a difference to the workers of our nation.

The decision to support America goes beyond politics. We may all disagree on what is best for the country, but we can agree that we do want what is best for us. Creating more jobs and opportunities for our friends and neighbors is an unqualified good. When you support your fellow Americans you help to improve life for us all.

To leave it to the government handle our problems is, in a sense, to admit that our problems will never be handled. We do need good laws to protect our businesses, but more than that, we need the support of the American people. A business can’t succeed without customers, and an American manufacturing plant is relying on you to buy its products.

Some people say we should heavily tax Chinese imports. Why start a problem that will hurt sales of our products overseas? Let’s just stop buying Chinese products when we can. We owe our support to our own people right here. To support China and its policies goes against the beliefs of many people here in the USA, and rightfully so.

The USA can resume growth and recovery, but it needs our help. If we have no confidence in ourselves, we have no ability to improve our own lives for the better. To resist the urge to buy the cheapest thing on the shelf is tough if you are on a low budget, but the benefits of buying American outweigh short term savings.

Spend on America endorses and encourages the purchase of American Made Goods to help support the USA.
